In this blog, I would like to share things I love and which hold meaning for me or have enriched my life in some way. Please feel free to comment and to make this a community.
As I considered what this all-important first post should be, something wonderful walked into my life. Randy Gage, a teacher and inspiration to me and millions of people around the globe offered me the chance to read his new book, “Risky is the New Safe,” which will surely become a best-seller.
“Risky is the New Safe” is not even off the press yet, and I had the great privilege of being selected to read the advanced copy. As the title suggests, the book is about letting go of much that we have come to take for granted about how the world is and is supposed to be. There is basically no safe anymore, which has a lot of people very upset and doing their level best to bring order back into business, government, and life in general.
Randy’s message is that this will not only not be possible but that getting in front of the next trends is more intelligent than chasing the ones already here and will be necessary for survival. As always, Randy connects immediately with the reader as a kindred spirit. You have to love his honesty and openness and his big heart!
This book is about OWNING your life - all of it. For Randy Gage, success embraces all of you, your dreams, your mission, and your prosperity. The unexamined life won’t cut it with him. And, although the book contains some pretty scary scenarios about how quickly everything can change, it is still about adding value and about being real. Of the many things I (and a whole lot of other people) love about Randy, his integrity is perhaps the quality which shines through and enriches everything else.
Be prepared to laugh, as this man has a biting wit. It is just fun to read something which is totally irreverent and shows the holes in the emperor’s clothes.
Randy never fails to surprise me with the way he can be an iconoclast and still hold fast to some pretty traditional values. I think it was Deepak Chopra who said that the ability to hold two contradictory ideas in one’s mind at the same time is a sign of a highly developed consciousness. The difference between Randy and many of us is that he has examined everything he holds dear and shares with others. His is a very rich world indeed.
If your interest has been piqued, pre-order “Risky is the New Safe” today. Those who know Randy have been begging him to write a new book. If you don’t know him, take the risk. I’ve heard it’s the new safe.
See you next time!
